Evo 9 and HKS 280 Cam

Can anyone shed some light on if you need to upgrade the valve train to swap out the exhaust cam for a HKS 280? I have heard different things so I just am trying to get the facts. I would like to put it in if possible instead of the 272.

You do NOT need to upgrade your valvetrain for HKS cams. Revolver, JUN, and Tomei you do. Your fine, throw it in there!

thanks for the input ... I do not know why people keep saying that you do.... it seems that the lobe is the only thing that is changing not the lift ... thanks again ..

You are correct, and everyone who says you "need" them doesnt know what theyre talking about. If you plan to rev to 8500+ then no matter what cams you have, they are a good idea!
