Kee, I made 341whp/361wtq at sea level, then moved to Colorado and promptly ran 296whp/325wtq.

I see no way for this guy to do 350whp on the stock turbo with another 800' of altitude and hotter temps (on average). I ended up doing 300whp/337wtq with all my mods in 90 degrees. I don't see another 50whp anywhere...

Gotcha. Damn that sucks. I was sure we'd be seeing some 11's from you any month now too.

I'm considering driving 500 (one way) miles to Topeka, which is the closest track that is around 1000' altitude just to get that elusive 11. It's not happening up here on the stock turbo...

Hah, maybe an 11.8 if I'm really lucky, since I gained 0 power from cams and appear to have a messed up head, but we'll see.

Should have stayed in DC

Btw arent you sponsored by Buschur? wtf arent you sporting the IX 20G? then you wouldnt have to cry around about the altitude and run your 11's in your area and save yourself a 1k round trip?

I'm sponsored, but I'm not John Shephred, so I can't just get any big money item for free on a whim. I'd like a stock IX or a 20g-9-5, but I'm content right now where I am on the stock turbo. I already lost 400rpm of spool due to altitude, so anymore loss would suck. 11s aren't the end-all to this car - I'm more concerned with road racing and autocrossing - but I'd like to show that I can do an easy 11 without the altitude handicap. I may or may not drive down to Kansas - we'll see.

As for the head, when Al did the cams, we found the exhaust cam caps worn down all on the same side the same amount, and when the new exhaust cam went in, it was binding instead of turning freely, so the head is warped or damaged in some other way.

Well, for all the "crying" I may do, at least I managed to stay in the low 12s, which I can't say for most of the Evos up here.

Sounds like improper installation and cam caps either out of order or turned 180*.
