Oil Restrictor with a 35R

I was just wondering how many people run an oil restrictor with their 35R?? I have the RnR kit and they do not include a restrictor and after talking with them have had no problems not running one however Ive heard it is suggested to use one so you dont put too much oil into the turbo?? If any one could fill me in on what this does and if its needed or suggested Id appreciate it. Thanks!!

the amount of oil required by the garrett ball bearing center sections is minimal. i would call precision and order either a -3 or -4 restrictor. i use the -3 restrictor off the head and i haven't had any problems.

I have the RnR kit also. I had a restrictor put in when it was installed.

I think I will be doing the same. Seems to be the thing to do. How long have you had the RnR kit?

Maybe 5000 miles on 35r with no restrictor. No issues. Don't think about running a BB turbo without a filter though.

Filter? Im guessing this is in addition to the oil filter. Is this something many people are using as well?
