Rough Idle, no cams

Just wanted to check and see if other drivers experience a rough idle with no cams. When my car idles it vibrates slighltly on and off and stutters slightly. From the rear the exhaust belches once in ahwhile.

Has anyone else experienced this or is this something thats normal?

Sounds like you have a intake or a drop in filter. You will not get a rough idle on a stock trim car if you do take it to mitsu.

Yea for some reason the maf on are cars dont like the added air. There are a boat load of threads about intakes and bov are killing the car rough idel rpm droping all that good stuff. The best way to get rid of it is one of 2 things 1 HKS EIDS i used it it worked like a champ 2 get your car flashed for the money the HKS EIDS is the better way to go its around $110-130 to get one. VS a flash that can run much more you will get more power but once you add more mods you will have to retune every other mod.

Try hooking up an vac. gauge to the manifold. Adjust the idle air screw till maximum amount of vac is achevied.

check your plug wires. one may have come loose causing a rough idle.

also, did you change your plug wires?? stick with stock. magnacore seems to have a crossfiring issue, just ask smokedmustang...

No its the intake the tuner maybe doesnt know the codes to get to the maf to reset some of the air flow the only person i know who does it good on the first shot is jester tuneing. Im not trying to start anything this is the point where im going to tell you to do some research there are many threads like this if you dont want it to happen any more buy the hks eids it will still stall but it wont hurt the car or turn off rpm will drop but you wont feel the car wanting to die. Either you spend the money or you learn to live with it.
