RnR GT3076R KIT...pictures + XS Engineering Intercooler

Some shot's of my RnR GT3076R Kit, I installed it a little while back...FINISH on the kit is great, and only minor fitment issues (which have since been corrected on all RnR kits...so i'm told).

Performance Review:

Performance...I only made 350 whp with 22psi, I was honestly hoping for a little more at that boost level...370 - 380whp would have been nice. All my mods at that time are in my signature for your review. My Evo 'autronic' was tuned by Sean Ivey...conservatively, as we run 90 octane at our pump here, I think my AFR's are pretty rich like 10.8-10.9

The car pull AWESOME I love it!!...noisy & scarey to some 'external wastegate dump'

Sean will be visiting this coming weekend so my car will be RETUNED then, I have made some minor mods and changed my exhaust housing to a 'true' .63 ar exhaust housing from ATP. The turbo came with a .48 ar Precision housing (which 'they' say flow almost like a .63 ) We felt that the .48 ar was choking the power as the GT30's aren't design to work in anything less than a .63 ar housing...so we'll see when I get this baby retuned...

Note on RNR: Ryan's @ RnR is a very helpful and informative guy, enthusiatic about his stuff and delivers a pretty good product, and fully backs his stuff RnR's biggest fallback is there delivery time, it's always off and it's hard to get him on the phone sometimes which can get annoying but Ryan's try's, offers good customer service and always delivers...timely or untimely , like all of us here, and that makes them good people to deal with

On that octane level that sounds about right on a dynojet.

Minor fitment issue, that may be because you have an Evo VII and not an VIII, either way this is a great kit despite the bad press.

The fitment issue was really the dumptube for the wastegate...other guy's on the forum had same problems with their Evo 8's, RnR said the jig they used had gone off slightly over the years and has now been corrected.

.48 is really small for that turbo. That, along with 90 octane, 350 seems about right. .82 with 93 octane would be a lot nicer! You should look into alcohol injection!

Yeah get ALky and a .63 housing, that'll be like 500WHP on a Dynojet. Turbo Trixx hit 500WHP on a 50Trim and the 3076R is slightly bigger.

ya 350whp doesnt seem all that off. perhaps after the tune you may see 5-10hp more, but i wouldnt feel safe any more then that just because of the crap gas. get that alky in!

As said above, dump the .48 exhaust side it is a choke. Go with a .63.

once you get the .63 on and retune it you'll sure get what you're hoping for about 380whp

Boggles my mind on why they went with a .48... Do all of them come with it, they run out? Or did they just cheap out on that part on all the kits?

Ryan, care to chime in on why another one of your kits made the same power a stock turbo car does with the same mods?
