1st gear redline

I was at a stop sign and decided to gun it. I shifted first gear rite at 7k and i must have hit a bump mid-shift because there was a very loud and distinct snapping noise that came from behind my dash. The car seems fine when i drive it,Could a drive train part have snapped and i can't even realize it. I didnt smell clutch or anything after the noise, i might be paranoid but the snapping noise was to loud to ignore. I saw a video of someone who bought a FWD evo because the something had broke and they didnt even notice it.

No. He bought the car from the dealership used and it did not have a drivetrain. The center differential was welded shut also. He didn't notice because he had never driven an evo before that so he had no basis for comparison.

The noise came distinctly from the front of the car, and was not the clunking noise people speak of from the rear diff. I checked all my hoses and piping and all are good, there is no sign of boost leak. Could this loud snap be a result of redline shifting rite in a pothole??Maybe some part was mis aligned due to the pothole during the shift and created the noise? if so i hope i didnt break anything, anyone else have input on what could it have possibly been?

If you shiften during the pothole the tire might of sliped and created the sound/noise..
