2-step builds boost?

I have always thought that a 2-step rev limiter builds boost off the line. I just got one flahsed into my computer and it doesn't build boost. The needle just fluctuates between vaccum and 0psi. Is this a myth?

I don't remember the exact number, but DynoFlash reported I think 14 psi. I think you have to let it bounce like 5 or 6 times, maybe.

It should build boost immediately. What RPM does it hold at?

6,000rpm. But I'm sitting there with the clutch pushed in all the way to the floor. Am I doing something wrong?

check for leaks......

it should build boost if you just hold down the clutch and floor it.... should but around 12-14psi... If it doesnt then check your car for leaks cuz something doesnt sound rite. hope you figure it out good luck!

Sounds like your diverter valve may be opening or a leak.. It should build some boost regardless..

Which 2-step software did you have flashed in?

Shiv put it in the stock ECU with a reflash.

I have no leaks since I just got the car dyno'd.

Anyone else?

That doesn't make sense. You have to have a leak somewhere. You have the clutch and throttle floored at a dead standstill right?

What does dyno'ing have to do with having or not having leaks? You could still have a boost leak whether you dyno'd or not.

You DEFINITELY build NOTICABLE boost while stationary and using the 2-step. Hell, 05/06s have the built-in 5k limiter, and that builds about 6-7psi depending on the car and gauge.

Maybe I should put it this way: a boost leak has a direct impact on dyno results. You won't put down any good power without proper boost. Period. My car ran fine and boosts fine.

Maybe this is driver error on my part. I only tried it once and I didn't hold it. I only let it bounce off the rev limiter once before letting go. Next time I try it, I'll let it bounce and hold it there and watch my boost gauge.
