Aftermarket Headers Stock Turbo

Ok people, yes I've searched, I have now stock ported exhaust manifold and I want to make some more ponies and gain some torque plus spool up, which of the aftermarket headers you have used have provided you with the most gains.

Possible Options:
DNP
Megan
DC Sports
Any other please post

Thanks for your opinions

if you have a ported stock your next up on that is full race. also 900 bucks. or you need another turbo for a different manifold. lol

with any of those, your gonna lose a little in spool but gain up top. I have the dnp header and love it. Comes with support rods on the turbo flange and hasn't cracked yet. Fitment was good cept for the lower right bolt on the turbo flange. Most peolpe will probably tell you to stick with what you got till you get another turbo.

Everyone is going to have very different opinions on this one. I think the overall conclusion is that the stock manifold ported cannot be beat for the money and overall reliability.

I am sure the others might make some more power but at what cost, and you have to ask yourself... is it worth it. Is it worth making an extra 7hp for a $900 manifold...

I have the DC manifold and its ceramic coated. Its been on the car for over 15k miles of hard driving in all weather conditions and its been flawless. However, someone else had theirs crack after 2 months. (Mind you DC has a revised version to avoid the cracking issue). Besides that, I dynoed after the DC manifold, FMIC, Ebay 02 and gained 32whp/tq. I certainly cannot contribute that power to just the 02 and FMIC but I dont like to speculate either.

Conclusion: Best thing is to port and coat the stock manifold. Its cheap, reliable and makes extra power. I really like my DC though.

where did you find a borla for 300 bucks?

but to the question, i belive buschur (could be wrong) did a test between a tubular and stock ported mani, and found that the stock manifold out performed the tubular one, search and you should find it. i would stick with what you have, as others have said.

Megan Racing has a 1yr warranty, has never cracked on any car that I know of, and we have run 127.62mph in the 1/4 mi with it.

We also have them on sale for $194 at www.ttp-engineering.com/store

i have a br cast and my buddy has a megan tubular and they both have high points, i wouldnt worry about it with the stock turbo, 900 can do ALOT more than 5 or so hp up top and your stock ported is not holding you back

Randy, it would be a complete waste of time and money for you to switch from a ported stock mani to an aftermarket, tubular header.

You really think so? Al previously tuned my car to 356 whp & 385 torque with a DNP manifold, since I removed it due to road racing rules and points I have not been able to produce such high numbers, and that was with stock turbo.
