Not runing stock maf sensor can i just put a filter right on the turbo?

ok i got the 3" maf sensor blowthrough with the ecu+ my question is now that i dont need that intake pipe for anything but the filter can i just bolt a filter right on the inlet on the turbo....what size and where can i get the filter...does anyone have this...and is it going to help with spool or do more harm then good cause heat

Use the intake pipe MINUS the maf.

Well, yes and no.. I wouldn't do it because of the location, it can get wet or draw water through it.. Depending on the turbo, stock 3" I would definitely run an intake pipe though, route it up away from where dirt and hot air can get directly into it.

I would keep the intake on it with the filter on the end of it. That is how I do it. At the track I do remove the whole assembly.. my air filter does cause a ~1-2 mph drop in my trap speed if I leave it on. Obviously driving around town this would be extremely detrimental to the turbo.
