Unhappy 1-3 19psi taper to 16 4th 20 psi

I installed my MBC and i set it to 20lbs will in 4th, now my buddy and i raced and his evo pulls me till 4th then i pass him like he isn't moving, what is going on?? should i set 20 lbs in a lower gear??? All he has done to his car is a AEM intake and a 3in turbo back exhaust with test pipe. I have a mail in flash, turbo back exhaust w/cat, TB, intake manifold porting, COP ignition 255 lph fuel pump, Intercooler. SO please help me out let me know if i messed something up.

You should get a wastgate actuator....Forced Performance....Forge or Buschur have these available. Most evos do this....high strung motor out running a small *** turbo.

I don't understand the question, but you should set your boost in 3rd, and 20psi PEAK is too low. If you're saying it tapers to 20psi, then it's probably too high.

I don't know what Tony was talking about, but you by no means need to upgrade your WGA.

well in 2nd and 3rd gear at WOT my boost will hit 20, but then taper to 16 kinda like it is spiking to 20 because it drops to 16 so fast, but in 4th it will go to 20 and stay there all the way through the RPMS. I hope that better explains the problem.

what you described is exactly how your MBC should work.

It doesn't actually stay at 20psi all through the rpms. What's happening is 4th gear is much, much longer, so you're not getting through the rpms as fast. The boost appears to stay level for longer, but that's only because the gear is longer. It still tapers in a similar manner, but stays a little higher due to having more load on the engine.

I sent you a PM about this WaRR. Im not in the same situation as 4cefed but I noticed today my car is only boosting 22 pounds at 1st and 2nd. It boost about 25 at 3rd. 27 at 4th and 5th gear.

I know its little warm today but what's up with this?

Ok I just found this out from WARR. So I'll answer my own question. There isn't enough load to boost 1st and 2nd so it will never hit full boost. So set you boost in 3rd gear
