Stock clutch chatter

I have an 05 MR with stage 1 w/flash, 300/310whp. From a start in 1st I often get chatter from the clutch and have to upshift. Seems to improve when it warms up a little. Also, and probably unrelated, I am getting a thunk between shifts at WOT. Not sure if this is an issue with my driving style, motor mount, or the clutch. It's nice and smooth off throttle. Car has 26k miles. Seems to be hold the power from a roll. Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks.

How many times have you launched your car?

Have you ever burnt your clutch?

I've launched a few times and burnt my clutch once. Every now and then - especially during the morning I get some chatter. As long as the revs don't shoot up you should be fine. To test your clutch. Find a slight incline, put it in fourth while travelling fast enough so the car doesn't die out, then floor it. If it bogs - and then starts to go - you're all right. If the revs shoot up and the car doesn't move - then it might be time for a new clutch.

As for the thunk between shifts - I get that too sometimes - especially the 2 - 3 shift, if I'm too quick with the shifting. Apparently this is normal. Can't remember what the exact cause is.
