Plug PCV and only use one Crankcase Ventilation hole?

Is that possible?

Let's say I plug the one in the back and drill up the one on the side to an -8AN fitting, would that work?

If not, why?

Is there a particular reason you want to do this?

The PCV system needs the 2 openings. Oil vapor normally flows in the breather, and oil vapor goes out the PCV into the intake manifold. It is part of the metered air system.
If you plug up either of the openings, there can be no flow, and sludge will build up in the valve cover.
If you plug up BOTH of the openings, you will build up pressure and probably make your dipstick pop up and spill oil all over the place.
The PCV system works fine, if you unplug it and mess with the flow of metered air, the most common occurrence is that your car will run lean.

Post a reply, so we can get an idea of what you are trying to achieve.

Dude! that looks hella awesome! but I don't think you should take out the PCV just for looks IMO.
Maybe you should get a purple catch can

Haha, where can I get it in purple??

Basicly, what negative effects would I have if I only had one Big crankhouse vent hole?

well what i did was i already had a greddy catch can contected to the side vent going to the catch can then to the intake. i then went out and got another greddy catch can different one tho and cutom made a braket and fited it nere the pvc and did the same consept. but i built my own baffle inside the catch can for them bouth so u dont suck up whaty your trying to catch. working GREAT

As I'm not going to connect neither of them to the intake or the manifold would it make any difference if I plugged one of them and only used one hole?
I don't see why it wouldn't work... Does the oem system suck out the gases/oil under negative pressure? How ever there will never be any pressure if I don't connect them any where...

Yes, you got it right. The stock setup sucks out gases/blow-by through the PCV valve. The setup you are going for is just gonna build up sludge in the long run and maybe affect your A/F mixture. Just don't plug up both holes cuz you will build up pressure.

if you're using that JUN surge tank(intake mani) and if i'm looking at it correctly, there's no nipple to connect it to valve cover, so there wont be any way to re-use the PCV, unless you drill/barb a hole on the JUN mani( don't do it!)

There will be no drilling in the JUN manifold, don't worry =)

So how big shall I make the one and only hole?

Will -8 AN do or shall I go with -10 AN?

That's what I always did with the DSMs. Get rid of the PCV, which just ends up failing and causing pressure in the crankcase under boost, and run it as a second vent line. The lower the pressure in the crankcase at WOT the better off you are. If you want your fuel trims to stay correct though, keep them plumbed to the intake pipe. Though without the PCV ****ery this may be less of an issue, since at WOT when the vents will be used most (more blowby) trims are not applied, and the effect on WOT AFR will not be measureable. Not to mention the only sludge buildup problem I see is the PVC coating the inside of your intake manifold and head with oil. Another reason to get rid of that POS The PCV has nothing to do with sludge buildup in the valve cover.

I once had a trap on the check valve side and it collected about 1ml/day of oil, is that not an unusual amount or is there something wrong with the valve cover? Anyone ?

Nice looking blue car there
