Ok whats the deal with this air filter??? Does it cause loss of power,, check engine light, mass air sensor problems from not having a good mount?

Im looking at getting one,,, I seen that RMR has one that looks like it, and it comes with a mounting bracket?

Anyone else besides FIREBALL that has one of these please respond. He dosnt return PM's.

If it does have issues I think I will just get the K/N drop in filter

Bump on this. I am considering this as a first mod for my Evo IX MR.

 

I'd seriously consider an exhaust upgrade or ecu reflash as your first mod compared to the filter. If you're gonna get the filter, install it around the time you get your first tune.
