The reason for the cut off switch when you put a battery in the trunk is for track officals. Its in I think the NHRA? rules, and if not its just the track rules, I cant remember.

Also, to do it I just cut the battery tray as shown and bolted the bracket to the side, then lenthened two wires.

Lancematic, how long did the install take. Also do you think that it will create enough room for new IC pipe. Can you please decribe how you went about doing this, it seems like a great laternative to a smaller battery or relocation it. Lastly, would you be able to do this if you still had your stock air box or does that get in the way?

In terms of using a cut-off swithc with a daily driver, I installed mine in the center console. Easily reachable when sitting in the seat. I actually got the idea from another user on here.

yeah could you explain it more deeply because i think me and many others want to know about this cheep mod.. like about the cutting of the bracket and the extension of wire.. like what type of wire and all that? thanks tho

Thats a very clever idea! I dont realy like battery relocations becuase it leaves such a gaping hole, and mini-batteries just do not cut it in multiple conditions. I like the ingenuity in your project.
