Damn, 1800 miles and clutch wont hold a launch..

i have 1800 miles on my 06 mr. Went to launch it for the first time yesterday. Two step set at 5800. First lauch was two step holding a little more than half throttle. Slipped clutch hard then full throttle as soon as the clutch was disengaged. It launched hard no clutch burning. Then about an hour later i wanted to try again. This time at full throttle two step at 5800. It just slipped the clutch up. It seemed like it had no chance holding the power. BTw i made 342whp and 331wtq. The clutch is in great condition. My previous car was a 400+hp audi s4 which had over 100 launches on it so i can drive/launch a awd car very well. The clutch for the first 1800 was treated very good, always rev matching and never burnt the clutch. Is this normal at these power levels? Thanks in advance.

I have almost the exact same power in my IX and the first time I tried to launch I had the same problem. I think we should both try to get a clutch line and see what happens.

I have been told to remove the pill in the clutch line. As this will help get more repeatable resaults with the clutch engagement. I have not done this with my car yet but all the guys I autocross with have and say it is a must. I hope this helps. I am sure you can do a search and find a how to for this.
