Stock Evo IX with intake and flash ... #'s?

I've searched and was wondering what Evo IX's put down with just an intake and MAIL-IN reflash on 91 octane. Please don't give me that search bull**** as I'm sure a lot of Evo IX owners are thinking the same thing. Just wondering your thoughts on what kinda #'s this otherwise bone stock Evo IX would put out. It's an Apex power intake (cone)if anything.

I wouldn't be surprised if you made close to 300whp or maybe a little more on a dynojet.

Isn't this your 3rd thread asking the same question? The intake won't really make a difference. It would be a shame to do no real mods, but to throw on an intake. Get tuned and leave the car stock otherwise - don't mess it up with an apexi intake.

I've already answered the power question in your other threads.

Do yourself a favor and get a custom tune preferably on a dyno along with a drop-in filter for the optimum performance.

Why do a mail in flash when there are a few select tuners in your area that will flash it better and on a dyno or a road tune?

#1. This is the 2nd thread I've made and I'm asking for predictions.
#2. Only 2 people responded with REAL #'s in that other thread and those people had more mods than a cone filter.

And for gods sake, do you think your on god's chariot or something ? All I did was ask a god damned question. I've searched and all I was asking for was predicted #'s, not an explaination on what to do and not to do. I hope I didn't come off as an ******* but your not helping. I don't want a god damn flame war, just #'s.

Very simple

It's very simple to get these answers from searching, too, but you apparently couldn't do that. If you don't want to hear responses, then don't ask. I gave you an answer with 2 IXs who had mail-in Dynoflashes with just an MBC. I don't know how that is considered "more mods than a cone filter." You want to know what people think? It's just a filter - it's nothing special and is actually less preferable than the stock airbox. We've probably said that a hundred thousand times by now.

Kimletrim, considering the mail-in flash is $199, and any custom tune on a IX in his area would be $750 or so, I think his money could be utilized better with the mail-in. There is certainly not an extra $550 worth of power to be gained with a custom tune locally, but he could get an entire TBE for $550 and gain another 30whp if he wanted to.

And why is it a bad idea? Don't just make bogus claims without some form of support to back them. Hey, if I can go 12.2 on a safe mail-in flash with basic mods, then it must not be such a bad idea, especially when it costs less than a 1/3 of a EcuTek flash.

Whoa....once again you are talking out of your ***!!!! You don't live in the Socal area do you? I live here and have experience with several local tuners who I know for a fact will tune the Evo for a lot less than the stupid, good for nothing mail in $199 flash from your sponsor!

I suppose from now on, anyone asking a question should include a proviso stating, "Asking for advice from everyone except Warrtalon!"
