Need some expert advise on cam timming

So, finally got 280's crower cams. Set up will be a 20g, trust FMIC, 720 cc's inyectors, alky inyection and apexi EM (AFC & AVC-R ).
My question is about cam timming, the idea is to get as much HP's and torque as i can. No matter about idle issues or low end torque loss, just want to squeeze power from the cams.
Any dyno result testing timmings???

thanks a lot.
Cheers.

Ack, AVC-R has never been a winner on an Evo. Better suited for FWD due to traction controlled boost by RPM.

Never said anything about emanage. The car is running a rallyart ECU, fuel is cotrolled by an S-AFCII, and boost with an AVC-R.
Just want to know about cam timmings for full power.
Thanks.

Depending on the duration of the cams, and the way your car is setup, you generally need to dyno-tune for it. On 280's you're probably best off creating a couple more degrees of overlap, but each car is different.

If you're looking for super light cam gears, check out the Helix ones. They weigh in at a hair under 1 lbs each, which is a whole lot of reduction in rotating mass.

Personally I would not suffer the 280 idle with the 20G, the cost / benefit doesn't jive IMO.

WOW, incredible low price for cam gears, the only problem is that i already bought a set of HKS .
Dyno tune would be impossible cause there are no AWD dyno's here, so i guess it would be only in road tune and with help of a G-Tech (i know, it sucks but it gives an idea).
It would be usefull if someone with this cams and with a similar setup share some info or experience.
Anyway thanks' a lot gary.
