Stock clutch finally done @ 51,995m

Well, I just thought I'd post this because I think its awesome my original OEM clutch has lasted this long. I bought my 2005 brand new and at only 3500 miles it was modded to make 346whp/344tq. Then at 34,000 miles, more mods and it made 378whp/386tq. I drive the car very hard and it hasnt given me a problem once.

Well tonight, driving home from an intense game of mini-golf with the gf I got on it at around 3500rpm to merge in the GSP and it slipped! I said to myself "ehh... about time." I double checked it and sure enough, its a slippin!

I will order an ACT on Monday.. I will finally now get to use that 6100rpm 15psi stutter launch Ive had waiting...

Wow, it sure lasted quite awhile considering the amount of power you are putting down. Hopefully mine can last just as long with around 340whp considering I don't launch my car.

My ACT has held strong for 16 months, never slipped and has taken the 2 step rev limiter abuse with no problems.

Down the drain would imply its a waste of some sort. The way I look at this is that it's maintenance... kind of like changing the brake pads. Its something I have no choice in getting! Be here by noon ****. I cant wait to get that BR RACE CORE on there! Wooot!

Mine lasted 23k.. So your a good driver. I went with the exedy stage 2 ceramettalic. $590. Holds a ton of power and is just a little harder on the pedal. Actually very little difference on the pedal.

The ceramic metallic is a decent clutch for sub 400whp cars. I'm running that also. If you need a clutch package give us a ring, we have the new Gruppe-S flywheels & Exedy / ACT combos for super cheap!

Cheers,

Gary
