i have a 3 inch dp from megan racing and wanting to put it on my nine
i searched and i only found one thread but someone just said that megan was redesigning a dp to fit the ix, so does it fit or not? thanks

 

Put it on and let us know. I have the same downpipe, but won't be putting it on until I have the rest of my exhaust in several weeks.

They are still working on the final version on my car, had their prototype on for a while but it started to hit the the tiebar a bit. They are supposed to call me soon as they told me the DP is being manufactured as we speak.

 

Prototypes should be in, next week or so...

lancershop sells 05+ megan racing dp, are these the ones that don't fit?

 

Doesnt fit on mine... rubs on oil pan and transfer case/tranny. Clears bars though.

 

So it fits on some and not others, weird. Going to try my luck this week or the next.

 

I've been waiting since June 28th 2005 (yeah, more than one year) for my replacement Megan Racing Downpipe to arrive. Back then Steve with Megan Racing acknowledged it did not fit the 2005+ EVO's with the ACD. (it hits the transmission if you have a different brand cat-back) They changed their website to reflect that it only fit the 2003 to 2004 models. Although now it says it fits the 2005. I've just sent another email to megan to see what's up. Hopefully your DP is the "new" version. (if it exists?)

 

Yeah, I got mine from here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=210070 and he says its fits the 05's and 06's.

 

i think the one with the donut at the opening will fit the 06's but mine didnt have it so imma order a new one ..>.<..anyone know wat other dp will fit the 9's?

 

I think the flex section is usually the culprit. Also depending on how it is installed you might have a bit more room here and there. If it's hitting try reinstalling it! The Megan one's however usually do have a bit looser tolerance. We had the same problems with the first generation Helix ones, some fit some didn't, basically if it's super tight sometimes the install will cause variation. The Helix V2 76mm will fit your ACD 05+ car fine though.
