Give Buschur a call on Monday. They just installed one in their Red EVO. He likes the clutch, but said the job was a pain in the butt. Not as easy as a DSM.

Z1 Performance Automotive Systems offers them on their site.

Also check with Buschur Racing. They just did an install on their US EVO.

Here's a quote from David Buschur: "We just installed an Exeedy twin disc. The clutch is very driveable, more pedal pressure than stock, but not much. It is also very aggressive. One word of advice, buy a good clutch to begin with. Doing a clutch in this job is a pain in the ***. It took Tym and Ted almost 11 hours to do the job on the car. This was on a lift. The next time will go much faster but that will give you an idea how tough the job is".

I dont if anyone has noticed, but in Turbo Mag. and some other mags I have seen adds for Exedy dealers. Well when mine went south after 2000 miles back in Dec, I had to get one. Here are my findings, hope this helps:
Below is a list of US Distributors for Exedy Clutch. Under each Business is a brief description of my experience with each;

AAA Imports 800-227-1523
If you notice, it’s the same company as Rockland Standard Gear. So when you call AAA, you get Rockland. I called and you have to leave a message and someone will call you back. When they did, they did not show a listing for the EVO7 or in that case any Lancer at all?

Rockland Standard Gear 800-227-1523
Same as above

Clutches Unlimited 714-373-6155
Spoke to David. The most expensive place I called - $1590 was jobber price and list price was $2866.00 plus shipping. Don’t think I will be calling them back.

World Pac 510-742-8900
Called and they would not sell to me cause I didn’t have an account with them. So I had to call there dealer and they could not find it listed.

Fenwick 410-787-1723
Called and they cant get it!

Clutch Man 800-725-8824
Talked to Sherwood. Very helpful. Had 1 of the best prices $1425.00 including shipping.

Foreign Auto Tech 650-589-3100
Talked to Chase. The 2nd best price $1415.00 plus shipping.

Alcon 317-244-9694
Talked to Brain. They have a twin plate for $900. BUT, that does not include a flywheel.

Carolina Auto Supply 800-438-4070
Last place to call, talked to James $1153.00 plus shipping($60). Even though the best price, they are slow to call you back. Waited, waited, waited, ended up calling them back after 2 days. Bought from them !!!

Below are some of the places overseas that I have been trying to get prices from;

IRS Motorsports - Japan 011-03-3696-7960
They have it, dah - $1448.90 shipped.

Japan Parts 011-03-5382-7364
Talked to Gram. Waited 10 days on an email from them with price and availability. Not any cheaper $1450.00 shipped.

Co-ordSport
Don’t even ask. There twin plate was $17??. When they said that, I lost count.

I would tell you how it feels, but if you didn't notice, I still dont have the car back yet . I hear that twin plate clutches are not for street use, how care. I wanted something that was going to hold the power, right. You can live with it ACT will probably coming out with there clutch for the EVO soon, too.
Hope this helps everyone

Go with the exeedy twin. My friend has it on his WRX an he loves it. You can field it for around $1500 if you are good. Simply the best clutch made for a street mobile. The cusco twin is made by exeedy, hence they are the same clutch.

Good luck lancer boys...I have been hunting for one of you!

Have you considered the ATS carbon clutch? It's available in twin and triple plate. Lasts a lot longer with higher temperature resistance than the Exedy.

Isn't there anything else? (clutch only) 1500$ for a clutch even with a flywheel is nuts.

Granted, the price is expensive, but you must remember, these are not DSM's anymore guys

In Japan, the Twin Disk is THE most widely used performance clutch, period. We have used them on a whole varity of cars, from Evo's to WRX's to RX7's, all with fantastic results.

I'll admit, its an expensive piece, and therefor not for everyone - but it is THE clutch to use if you are serious about making power and having the clutch hold it.

As for pricing, we are wrapping up our deal on the Exedy stuff now, so stay tuned for some nice price adjustments

As an alternative, Exedy offers their Hyper Single unit, which is good for 400 ish HP cars, but is a single cerametallic disk, sprung hub, with integrated flywheel. Prices are also on our site.
