Shift fork help...

Well last night i was driving and out of no where the shift fork for first and second breaks... wasnt even racing or anything... anywho... ive decided on doing it myself.. but i was just wondering if someone can iad in my search for an exploded view of the tranny or maybe just some advice if anyone has also dont this... i already know wut to expect because i have taken apart trannies before i just didnt want to get a surprize when i open it and be like wtf... lol

im going to be looking for a write up on this is there is any and anyones help would be greatly appriciated... thanx

how did you know the fork broke? something similar to me happened. I was driving along normal, no racing. and all of the sudden I have no second gear. then I realized 1st was gone too. not sure if one went before the other. I checked the linkage and all seems to be connected properly ( in the engine bay and center console) I only have gears 3-4-5-R. Everything shifts smoothly, and 1-2 just feel as if its not connected to ANYTHING when you run through the gear selector.

i think its great that you guys are talking about fixing your own tranny. so many people would spend 6k for a new one if the original just had a leaky gasket and someone told them their tranny was dead. thinkers rule! good luck
