Newbie BOV question

anyone who knows please help.

i am in the market to buy an HKS SSQV, but I don't know what kind of flange I should purchase..

is there a bolt on one that I can buy for an EVO 8?

what's the difference between a steel or aluminum one?

tnx for your insight

If your looking for a kit and they don't have one listed specifically for the EVO 7 or 8.. the 2G Mitsubishi eclipse is another part# that works.. Not all valves are equal, and the preferred way is to use a diverter (recirculating Blowoff valve) or a recirculating kit for the HKS SSQV.. I **THINK** the 2G Mitsu Eclipse kit has all the parts you need. If you don't recirculate, then most people are recommending a fuel computer that compensates for it, because it may cause idle problems and other anomolies.

You may want to check out the June issue of SCC. They do a BoV comparison on several brands and...well...the SSQV won prettiest. That's about it. They offer several good name brand options and give nice detailed reviews of the pros and cons of each as well as a few charts that I don't really understand (haven't bothered to read up yet). Many of you who are looking for aftermarket BoV's may find it useful. I'm not sure if it's on newsstands yet, but it should be shortly if it's not already.

the reason why it cost so much is it has the BOV plus the Kit that comes with it.....
