A properly setup long rod 2.4 will allow you to turn the engine to near 2.1 levels.

What's better than torque, HP and a 10k rpm limit?

Just make sure it is built good. The biggest downfall to some of the cars that end up losing on Pinks is that they break before they get all the runs in. I wouldn't worry about making max power 9 second Evo. A well built and consistant 10 or 11 second Evo stands a better chance.

Never had to wait longer than a week or two for them from Weisco.

No the key of the show is HOW well u drive and ur negotiations. It all about revealing what ur car can do and try to win my the uttermost lengths.

What im tryin to say is. It's all about being DECEPTIVE ( yes i kno its wrong but this for a car, ive seen most of the episodes).

The person which can try to win races without revealing the full potential of the car when needed, usually WINS . Also if there's No2 involved, get some race gas in the Evo.

Ya, the most power is not always the best thing for this show. You have to finish the race to win. We will probably keep the boost low and unless we need to turn it up.

For a piston that'll handle the power you'll have to go with a top of the line JE piston with all the bells and whisltes (gas porting, riased pin, coatings, and fully lightened) no to mention the custom carrillo rod. your looking 6-12 weeks depending on how busy they are.

Good luck on the show. I would like to see the AMS boys and Buschur Racing go at it. I think that would be a great show for all the DSM guys.

Maybe you should give Mr. Shep a call and see if he would be interested in driving your Evo for you. I am not trying to degrade your driver by any means, he is just a bad man when it come to the 1/4 mile, it would not hurt to bring a ringer in....

The only thing I hate about the Pinks show is that they never show the ET or Trap Speed or anything. I really like seeing the races, and the cars are usually very creative. Yeah, most of the people on that show are rednecks, but it would completely make up for it if they actually showed the times the cars run!
