Quaife owners speak up

I have a 03 with a open diff up front, I am asking the quaife guys to speak up on what they think about the product. So I can decide if one is right for me.

I would like to know too, I've heard that it is a massive improvment.

Keep in mind lots of quaife owners have complained of leaking tranny fluid from the axle seals...might be better to go with a front Mitsubishi LSD

it's great... i mean what do you want to hear? it'll make you turn in faster if you're an amature and are on the gas already at turn in. it'll let you trail brake into a turn if you're a pro.

on the track out if you're in need of some help and you're in the right gear, give it just a tad of gas. it works as it should. not getting in the way when it shouldn't. it also keeps you safe in case you lift wheels, won't break any pinion gears and what not cuz it keeps all the wheels moving and it's lift-one-wheel-safe.

basically every 03-04 should have one.

Best handling mod I've done, and it's even better in the snow, plus lifetime unconditional warranty.

I have the Mitsu LSD on my 03 and love it. I haven't been on a track yet with it but that will come in time once I figure out my UICP/LICP problem.

IMHO the Quaife was well worth the money. Does Road Race still have a monopoly on them?

leaking is the problem with the assembler and not of the Diff unit. This is the best handling mod for my car, period!

that is mostly caused by re-using the old seals. something which a well known shop did on my Quaife install. And now they are leaking...

Other than that, it's one of the best mods you can do for the '03 or '04 evo.

It is delicious. I can put a lot more power down through a corner and it just keeps pulling wherever the steering wheel is pointed.

Go with the Mitsu LSD. Much less expensive $900 vs $1500. Yes Quaife gives the lifetime guarantee but unless you are putting down some SERIOUS hp the Mitsu LSD will be fine.
