I finally got around to installing my exedy twin plate and everything went pretty smoothly. I started the car up, drove it around the block, everything with the clutch was fine. My issue is with the electrical on the car. The first test drive everything seemed fine but then I pulled car back in the shop, checked over everything and decided to spray engine degreaser underneith the car to wash off the excess tranny fluid and stuff. I left the car and came back an hour later to take if for another drive. As I am letting the car warm up the lights begin to dim and the cig lighter wouldn't work. After about two minutes the car just went stone dead. I charged the battery and then checked the voltage, its only at 11 volts which it normally is at about 14 volts. I checked all the grounds again and they seemed fine. The car starts up and stays running no problem when its hooked up with the battery tender. So the only thing I can think of is that the alternator is bad but it just doesn't make any sense. I could have gotten the alternator wet but I doubt it would have caused this. If anyone has any ideas what it could be it would be much appreciated...

 

check the wires going to the alternator, maybe they come lose or maybe the alternator is bad!
