thisxguy: replacing the bushings would help the feel of shifting but they would bind in every gear if they were bad, not just the 3 to 4.
Thats what im guessing! I prb messed up the fly wheel Sometimes when accelerating in 1st, it feels like the clutch doesnt wana grab

but first adjust your clutch how far up does it look compared to the brake pedal?
Ill check it later today and get back to you on that, i think its up to the break pedal but not sure

check to see if the clutch pedal doesnt have the same level as the brake pedal, the clutch pedal must be a bit higher then the brake pedal if its already a bit higher then the brake pedal adjust it a bit more out i mean higher!
also bleed your clutch system is very easy to do just remove your airbox look for the clutch pump connect a hose to the bleeder and have a friend help you just tell him to pump the clutch 3 times slowly then tell him to hold the clutch pedal in and then you open up the bleeder and check to see if it had air then close it again and tell your friend to remove his foot from the clutch and check your clutch level!
i tell you this really did help me out good luck ok!

Yes it was Matts. We went from 2nd gear roll and i pulled him in 3rd and then he started to pull from me slowly in 4th. BUT, i had Clay in the car with me and a cracked exhaust manifold. It was a good race THen we went from a dig and the clutch slipped badly all the way in 1st and 2nd

clay - warrtalon?

anyhow that sucks man. i know the feeling. i raced a foxbody and burnt up my clutch. hopefully this is only your clutch, how ever it would most likely be similar in every gear, not just 3/4th gears.

those are the same gears that locked me out when my transmission went. so be careful and best of luck man.

Ha, you should have kicked him out. O well, and that slipping clutch sucks. I just went through that.

Maybe your having the same problem with your 4th that Zak did. Take it to the dealer he did, they may swap clutches for you too.

It does it even with the car at a stand still if i put it in 3rd, its hard to put it back in neutral...it does NOT grind or lock out

It does NOT do it all the time, i say about 50-60% of the time.
Im guessing the clutch or flywheel maybe going bad!

Any suggestions? This happen to anyone else? Again this is only from 3-4 shift or downshifting from 4-3rd

i have that problem as well when going from 1st to 2nd. it gets stuck in 1st and I can get it out unless i slow the car down, these even happens at slow speeds. my guess is it could be the engine moving too much because once it slows down then i could pop it out of gear. i bought a new powerflex engine mount to see if the problem will go away.

Ok my tranny is been getting worse now.. I was doing a test yesterday, i was in the driveway, i put the car in neutral put the clutch in and put it in 3rd and shifted to 4th and i went in perfect.. I then put it back in neutral again, push the clutch pedal in and do the same thing and put it in 3rd, i try to shift to 4th and the shifter was very hard to put into 4th gear and taking it out of 4th to 3rd.. This is with the motor running and it also does it with the engine turned off... Is it the clutch or the syncros?? Its just weird that it will be perfect one time i shift and the next feels like crap and its hard. Theres no grinding at all... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
