Not sure about the 4, but for the 5/6 it's like this:
The AYC has three lubricants:
1) Differential - standard diff, takes GL5 80W90 (0.41 litres)
2) Torque Transfer mechanism - consists of the clutch packs plus the speed increasing/decreasing gears, takes AYC fluid (0.7 litres) which is now replaced with ATF SP-III(3) as AYC fluid is no longer produced
3) Reservoir - hydraulic actuation of the clutch packs, basically the fluid used in the reservoir in the trunk, takes ATF SP-II(2) or equivalent (1 litre including pipework).
