Sounds interesting but i be affraid to mix it wrong and really mess something up. I think also many people just buy the race gas at the track cuz its convenient. Whoever runs on race gas all the time if any1 could try this out. I don't mind spending 20 bucks extra at the track and be safe hehe. Good fine though

You're better off getting alky injection.

yes but that has to be tuned to run correctly, not to mention the $500 cost of purchasing one. so thats a $800 price tag, some would rather run race gas

I just don't like mixing gas... what a hassle. Not to mention a lot of the additives are abrasive to the motor. Plus keeping a huge tank of gas in your garage isn't the safest way to go.

In the long run alky is the way to go. 55 gallon drum would almost pay half of an alky kit. If you buy this stuff in small quantities you will pay a pretty penny for it. This topic has been beat to death tho

simple octane booster

100oz of toulene
25oz mineral spirits (cleaning agent)
3oz tranny fluid (lubricating agent)

basic formula for a popular octane booster.

You definately have yr point there! keeping 55 gallons of toulene in the garage is the last thing u want to do.

Alky kit u will need a tune for it, but for someone that occasionally want to run high octane and raise the boost on some race day then this will be a good choice!

Well you 'could' go onto www.gnttype.org and read it, however:

1 gallon of Zylene mixes with THREE gallons of 94/93 Octane to get
~100 Octane, also add an once or so(small cap full) of Marvel Mystey oil to help lubricate the injectors........
