Hallman Pro RX install & test VS Forge

I installed my Hallman Pro RX and Tested it VS my buddys Forge. Both controllers peaked out at 21~22 psi and fell to 17~18. All runs were done in 3rd gear Starting @ 3000RPMS and going all the way to 7000RPMS. Both are very good. I got a good clean install using the bolt on the Air box and a custom 90 deg, bracket. This was done on my stock Evo IX, well it does have a K&N drop in filter.

So Close I cant even tell, we would have to get a boost logger to see the diffrence. I even recorded vids of a few runs with the forge and hallman. I could not tell at all. As far as wich one to get....get the one that you think looks the coolest, or has a color you like. They both work AWSOME!!!

PS please dont ask me again wich one works better (no pun). I CAN NOT TELL!!!

Yep your correct....I may have to try it off the manifold and see what happens. Gotta get my clutch put in first!

It is always better to go off the turbo or as close to it as possible. I would go on but dont want to get off topic.

it depends on what you're trying to control, the turbo outlet pressure or the manifold pressure. I for one, want to control the intake manifold pressure, and the pressure that gets into the engine. Why put the control device on something your not trying to control?

Why is it better to go off the turbo?

Does the Hallman ratchet/click when turned like the Forge Unos. IMHO, the Forge unit looks much better/cleaner in the engine bay...

The Hallman does not ratchet, but it can be remote located (the OP has the hallman pro rx, which can be) in the cockpit for easy on the fly adjustment.
