been hearing mixed messages... i know alot of ppl that have bovs but on here.. ppl say not... just wondering y... im new to a turbo never had one soo im still learning... thanx

 

Everyone with an Evo has some sort of DV. What's your question?

 

Noob your car technically has a Bov more like a Diverter Valve.


No one has a problem with aftermarket BOVs on our cars, just VTA types that cause our cars to run like ****.

Secondly, if your gonna use it has a first mod basis your not gainin **** beside noise. Judging from your mods list your practically picked the worst BOV for an Evo.


Do yourself a favor and spend the money in a better area and then deal with a bov when you upgrade to meth or bigger turbo.

Get a JDM diverter valve and put your stock intake box back on if you aren't tuned because you are actually losing power. The stock intake box is good up to 400whp.

 

There are no mixed results - only idiots saying VTA is awesome, and smart, well educated people saying recir. is correct.

DO:
take off the intake
take off and sell that HKS to a (insert favorite ricer car here) guy

DO (if you want more powah):
get TBE
get MBC
get WB
get IX or JDM MR DV or Forge or APS BOV
put back on intake --> get tuned for all

 

keep the intake!!!!..... just get flashed

stay stock you really dont need a aftermarket BOV until your cranking up the boost, save up your money get something that actually does add power, TBE is a great start since you dont have that yet, and will be one of the most gain mod you will bolt on.
