boost getting stuck from 1.5 to 0.5, help!

Hey guys Im having a boost problem, Its either the HKS EVC solenoid getting stuck or the HKS SSQV leaking.

Problem: when I start going into boost, sometimes it goes to stock boost 0.5 bar, rather than 1.5bar. its like its in limp mode. sometime it will boost like normal when it wants, so wierd.

Here is the list of what I have on the car, the car has been running with all this stuff for two years with no problems, and all of a sudden im having boost issues, please help with you input, thanks guys!

AEM ems w/built in uego and xtra sensors

hks rs intake
hks downpipe
hks cf titanium exhaust
hks evc 5
hks kansai airbox
drag intercooler upgrade

helix cat delete

hks ssbov

your like my HKS friend, gotta have everything HKS! a BOV leaking wouldn't that big of a boost drop and would cause inconsistant amount of boost. and second of all, wastegate boost is like 0.8 bar, so i dont understand why it wont go over 0.5 bar
are you one the stock turbo? maybe the wastegate is bad and allowing the exhaust to leak out early.

Seeing that you're in California and seeing that huge list of HKS parts makes me shake my head and sigh. It also makes me not want to help, because HKS is laughing their butts off at how many people pay too much for their stuff just because of 2F2F and all the ricer magazines.

In an effort to overcome this bad taste in my mouth, I will start by telling you to first uninstall the EBC and return the boost system to stock. Be sure to use the 100% OEM boost lines - you cannot use plain hoses that didn't originally come on the car, and you have to make sure you re-install the OEM lines exactly how they were when the car was new.

After you've done this, report back, and we'll keep working on it. Btw, do you really have a $2000 standalone ECU with 264/264 cams on a stock turbo running speed density?

Ok warr calm down now bud. What warr is trying to say is just keep things simple. HOWEVER, SINCE YOU GOT ALL THIS STUFF HERE. Lets go to the root of the problem. Why are you boosting at different measurements? Well for starters check to make sure your lines are inplace then make sure your parts are in working condition. Now IMHO I think its either your bov or your boost controller.

Btw, .5 bar isnt stock boost. .5 bar is even below wastegate. So there is definitely a problem going on the only thing I can think of that would cause it to go below wastegate is the ebc itself because even a bov couldnt cause the WG to go below 1bar.

However, its hard for me to sit behind the comp and diagnose your problems. So as much info as possible is needed
