Spark plug question.
Need help on this.
Here is my current setup.
MY05
TBE w HFC
Boost control set at 1.4 bars ( 21 psi )
Intake
Flashed - estimated hp 300hp / 330 trq
I'm thinking of going to coppers, but was wondering with
the setup i have should I go a step colder or keep it as is?
Any info or suggestions?
Much appreciated.
Mike

If you don't wanna go a full step colder down to a copper BPR8ES you could try a BR7ES, which should be just a tad colder than the stock-equivalent heatrange of the BPR7ES.

I have been running a set of BPR8ES's gapped at .023" after switching down from BPR7ES's. I looked at the plugs and they seem a bit cold for my particular application, I saw some carbon buildup on the plugs. Now, I run low boost at 19-20.5 psi. So I figure I don't need the 8's. I had originally tried them 'cause the colder plug is supposed to be more knock resistant.
I think I'll go back to a 7 though. But this time I'll order a set of BR7ES's instead of the BPR7ES's. the BR runs about 30*F colder than the BPR, so it should be somewhere in between a BPR7ES and a BPR8ES.
The Smokester needs the 8's 'cause he's doing lots of Meth.
Edit: The 8's did seem to help reduce detonation though. Whereas before with the 7's there were tiny little specks of aluminum on the plug visible upon inspection, with the 8's there was none of that telltale indicator of detonation.

Coo..thanks for the info guys...
Don't want to start another thread but what should I do next?
I know I should upgrade my fuel pump.
After a taste of power, I kinda want more.

Best bang for the buck? Warrtalon's staged upgrade package is tailormade for your '05 and you'll be bunches faster for minimal monetary outlay, avoiding the piecemeal approach. If I had it to do over again....that's what I would do. Just my 2 cents.
Oh,, I just noticed that you're no longer bone stock and have however been busy and acquired some mods already. In which case, cams and an alky kit along with the pump and a reflash.
