1.5 is 21.75psi, which is great. If you have it all the way down, then it probably has the stiff spring in it. Did you change springs by chance? Depending on where you bought it, it may have come with the stiff one in there already.

And just to be sure, when you say "all the way down," you mean all the way counterclockwise right? Sometimes people say "down," and they mean the knob is turned down to the bottom, which is maximum boost.

i'm boosting 1.5 bar with a tune. Try swapping springs in the boost controller. You should have gotten another spring with the boost controller, i had to put the one spring in mine.

No, you do not have to get rid of the stock gauge. It works just fine. It's only problem is that it doesn't go above 21.75psi (1.5 bar). Otherwise, it works fine and is easy to see if you just move it to the top left (plug'n'play).

06MR, how are you liking your WT/BR package so far?

Why would he swap the springs? He said it boost about 21 psi with it all the way down. If he starts turning it a few clicks the boost will go up... so he is good

You think thats too mucy? I installed an HKS EIDS once and VTA, my boost hit 1.84 bar. Hows that for too mucy. Now, I think that is a bit mucy, I'm sure something bad could/would have happened. But it hits 1.7 with stock recirc bov. I guess my Blitz TT/Boost Gauge is not accurate.

Well, then that answers it. If you put in the stiff spring, then why did you make the thread? It's behaving exactly how it should behave. If you want to boost lower than 21.75psi, then put in the soft spring and turn it way up (gradually, of course).

Anyway, as I said, 1.5 bar is just fine, and if you don't know how to read in bar, then you should get familiar with the bar-to-psi conversion or get a psi gauge.
