Front Crank Seal
As anyone had their front crank seal started leaking at 20,000 miles? I am about to bring the Evo to San Rafael Mitsubishi in Cali for service maintenance. Anyone else recommend a different shop for quality service since I live in Milpitas, CA?
Here, I had mine started to leake very slowly. This was a result of a flash tune on a dyno by so called famed tuner on this forum. They looked at it and told it "sH!@ happens!" - real classy shop!
They did advise to replace it when replacing the timing belt.
I'd think any reputable shops beside this one or decent dealer could replace it. But if you can wait, I'd time it w/ the timing belt replacement.
