Possible tranny issue?

last week my car's shifter started becoming a little harder shift. i thought it was just me, but last thursday the shifter got stiffer as the day went on. by friday night. everytime i put it into 1st,3rd, and especially 5th gear. the shifter would pop of out gear and into neutral by itself. the poping out of gear only occurs when it is in gear and no gas added. could there be a transmission issue? shift linkage? could it be bad bushing? i searched on here for the past few days and the shifter bushings seem to be an issue?

it has 4500miles on the clock and haven't raced the car. the car is currently at Sport mitsubishi in orlando. any ideas what the problem might be? thanks

Talk to Shawn there, he will take care of it for you... It sounds like the shift cable issue

the shift cable is exactly what i was thinking. i told one of the guys to look at the shift linkage before tearing out the tranny.

Good thing it's at the dealership. Sounds like work for warranty.
