Solid Valve Train

What modifications have to be made to the head to be able to run the JAM solid Lifters?

Buschur tried them and said they were far more trouble than they were worth... Get with him on specifics. I think someone else didn't care for them either, but I can't remember who...

If you switch to solid lifters, you need to switch to a cam made for solid lifters. Otherwise you will only have problems.

I believe those are the very ones Buschur tried... pick up the phone! I'd be willing to bet Buschur/AMS/TurboTrix can tell you all about lifter life at 9K.

Well unless you have experience with solid lifter domestics you would already know the answer to this question. THEY ARE INCREDIBLY noisy. I guarantee it would be detected as knock. There is a 66 Chevelle with said cam in my garage right now that most people think has a bad bottom end because of noisy valvetrain.

i'm use to having to adjust the lash about every 2k-3k miles in domestics. solid roller valve trains are are common in domestics and alot of knowledgeable people who where able to teach me.
