boost gauge advice and pics

Okay, I moved my factory sports meter kit to the top, and now I can see the guages! Hoorah. This is what it looks like. I have also got step-by-step photos and the Mitsu tech docs for the Sport Meter Kit if anyone is interested.

i did the same thing as is on that pic above, i just used the 15$ gauge pod that autometer offers, looks pretty good i think. And with our bumpy ride, i got a liquid filled gauge to dampen the effects, does a great job.

Why does my Autometer boost/vacuum gauge read to 30psi of vacuum? Isn't 14.7 the maximum amount of vacuum that you can physicaly get? It does read 20psi of vacuum sometimes.
BTW: I just got done with the install.
....never mind.... its 30 inches of Mercury [slaps forhead] duh...

From the look of your SMK it seems like 2 of the meters are wired into the car's electrics and maybe the wires are already there for you to connect up the meters. The boost gauge has the vacuum hose running to it. I was wondering if I could bother you to maybe take some pics of where the vacuum line is connected to in the engine bay, and how they threaded it through the firewall ?
I am assuming you had it installed by a Mistubishi dealer right ? How much they charge for the install ?
Hey, Thuan and ZX6r, thanks.
I will have a look to see where the vacuum hose is attached. It's a T-piece hacked in there somewhere. The oil temperature guage has a sensor that piggybacks the oil drain plug - watch out for the wire when changing the oil. Obviously the volt meter just requires a + and -.
I had the dealer install the kit as part of the purchased bundle, so I don't know what they would charge you, but the MSRP is $464.
I guess more photos to follow on the web site. I will also be putting and info about the car and hopefully some video footage of my track day last week, so check it every now and again for updates.

In answer to the questions above - The wire for the oil temp guage and the vacuum hose for the turbo guage are routed to the left of the engine bay (see photo below) and then through the rubber boot in the door to the back of the dash and into the guages.
