us 5 or 6 speed

hi i'm new to this forum and live in the u.k-can some give me some info on the u.s evo. from the evo 8 do you have the 6 or 5 speed trans as standard

depends on which evo 8 you get..standard evo 8 is the 5 spd..but if you get the MR edition..its a 6 speed.

o.k thanks you see in the u.k there all 6 speeds except for the 8rs and the 9gt-the reason i am trying to find out is because i want to buy a ats triple carbon clutch and have emailed ats but they have not reply'd to my question does there clutch fit both the 5 and 6 speed does anyone know?

The 5 and 6 speed can use the same clutch .... the only difference is the stock 6 speed clutch has longer springs for smoother engagement. You can ask ACTMAN on this forum, he can tell you the ins and outs of the EVO clutch.

o.k thanks- i have another question i will also be building a stroker engine later this year and buying fron the u.s as the u.k is too expensive so who has the best reputation in the u.s- ams has a very good 1 in the u.k
