Unhappy mbc problem

i just removed my turbo xs mbc for the hallman pro with the in cockpit controller and i have some problems. first, i started it up and it idled reallly low, def wasnt right. so i took it out and drove it. will boost to 12 psi and if i gas it past that it kinda backfires....so i thought maybe i hooked the vacum lines up wrong (the pic in the diagram showed the non cockpit controlled unit) so i switched them, started it up. idled fine so i thought, awesome it works. get on the road and have the same problem. i also took off the intake pipe to clean it up and theres a possibility the hose back to the bov is leaking but that wouldnt cause these problems would it? gonna let it cool down and go see what i can do...any input would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds to me like one of the pipes is loose.. Recheck all the hoses and SPECIALLY the pipes
