Twin scroll T3- New dynos with Comp280+

Went over to Dyno4mance Sat. to dial in the new cams and man was I impressed with the results. First pull without any dyno tuning netted huge gains from low to mid with 50lb/ft gains in the 4-4.5k regions and 40whp with a slight gain at peak. Power improvements started as early as 3.2k. These cams spool up the turbo much faster than my previous,272i/264e, set up. After dialing everything in and turning the boost up one psi to 23 I ended up with 25 more peak whp and 60more lb/ft and 50 more whp in the 4-4.5k ranges. Power was increased from 3.2k to redline. These cams rock!!
Thanks to Adrew at Dyno4mance for helping me get everything right. I have been tuning this thing myself with ECUFlash, but Andrew came through with some very good suggestions which netted great power improvements and a solid curve. We had to stop as there was another customer waiting to get on the dyno and honestly I think we could get maybe another 10 out of it on 93, but for now I very pleased.

Very nice. Are you using cam gears with your Comp cams? I was thinking of possibly getting the Comp cam 272's for my Evo.

I am curious as to if your using gears also. I think im going to go with the comp 280's and no gears.. also what valvetrain did you go with?

Also EvoTio- go with the 280's cuz of the added lift!

I think the 280's would be a bit too agressive for me. I live in California and I doubt they would pass our smog inspection. I know somebody who passed smog with the 272's and was tuned so his cams sounded like a stock idle. I do like the gains that Drifto got with his 280's.

Was your tune on your previous cams your own tuning and the tune on these done by Andrew? Im just wondering how much of the gain is cause of the cams or the tune. Very nice gains though. Im thinking about doing some more aggressive cams and were looking at the GSC 280's but might have to look at these as well.

I do all my own tuning. Answer to your question lies in the first post.

Thats what I was referring to. I was just curious as to how much his additional help may have been alittle factor. Not knocking your tuning ability or anything.

I would also like to see some specs on some of these new cams. I want something between a HKS 280 and the Revolver 272's.

I didn't take it that way, just that the first few lines of the post talk about the power before doing any tuning. I don't have the cam card in front of me, but you can see the spec at Forced Performances website.

Graph at the top is an overlay of the previous best (red) vs. new best (blue).

Looks good Walker. I see that the lumpy cam seems to really have woken the 3037 up, eh? Did you get a chance to see what improvements were made with Racegas? I realise that this dyno session got cut short, I was just wondering if there was an epilogue here.

No race gas. I'm a recovering race gas fiend. My basement has a large pyramid of empties. I want as much power as possible on 93 with a useable power curve which is what I have and I love it. I'm also on the stock clutch still and race gas would kill it pretty fast.
