I dont think anyone whos owned a modded evo8,whether it was heavily or lightely modded hasnt got that code (PO300).The hose on my egr would pop off at least twice a month and set the service engine light off. Finally they put a zip tie on it and it didnt pop off again. They meaning the dealer.

Mitsubishi has updated cope for the P0300 problem. If a reflash doesn't fix the problem (and it usually doesn't) the next step according to Mitsu is to replace the mainshaft in the tranny.

A reflash didn't fix my car so I installed a Creader. End of story.

You can also use a tactrix cable with ScanTech to troubleshoot and clear DTC's now. Check the ECU flash forums. Oh, it appears my P0300 is fixed.. new injectors under warranty.

Colder plugs in colder weather, on a cold engine are classic reasons to get the P0300

are you modified at all? ive still got 30k miles of warrenty but the dealership says they wont "touch" my car at all. failed o2 and p0300 are a direct product of my intake and exhaust...so they tell me.

Yesterday morning i installed hks incp, gsc s1 cams and greddy ebc...
In the evening the guys from audio shop installed the dvd headunit ...
When i took the car ... a check engine came!!!
I scaned it and surprise... P0710 TRANSMISION FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION.
I erased it and it keept on comeing!
I took the car at the dealer ...they read the same error and dealeted it.
They tould me that is very spooky becouse there is not such an error on evo... and there is not such a sensor!!!!!!!!!????????????!!!!!!!
They told me to go home and if the check engine comes again to come...
It just came... but do you know what it is???
Im thinking that it must be a mistake made by the guys from audio shop...maybe they installed things improperly( from the acd comp or something!!!)
is it safe to drive my car in this situation?
Please help...

Your remedy is as follows:

TACTRIX CABLE + SCANTECH SOFTWARE + EVOSCAN SOFTWARE

...and you're in!
