92 Octane highest in CA??
92 Octane highest in CA??
Just wondering if there were any higher ratings in CA or are we just limited to 92 octane? Other methods of rasing the level? I know of NOS Octane booster you can just buy and local autozone etc..
I know you can mix in some higher octane or a booster.. anyone have any imput or places to get stuff? I know when my friends went to the drags they bought some mixture in a big barrel to raise the level.. i know this isn't perhaps cost affordable on a weekly basis. Any ideas on what I'm mentioning here? Similar thoughts? Reasonings?

I've not seen 92 Octane anywhere around here in So Cal.
You can get 100 Ocatne Racing gas at some 76 gas stations. I fill my Evo up with about 2 gallons of the racing gas and the rest (10 gals ) regular 91 to get a rating of about 93 Octane ( R+M)/2 rating. ( I know it's a 14 gal tank, but I always have about 2 gals left in there when I fill up ).Which gives you the 98 RON rating the Evo was designed to run. I think any higher Ocatne rating and the Evo doesn't have the timing map to take advantage of the extra octane, so it's probably not worth it.
