Problem with car starting

So I had just installed a CBE on my car yesterday at my cousin's house. Everything went well with that.

However, my cousin wanted to try out his new OBD-II scanner on my car. He plugged it in and it showed three codes. One for MAS, one for IAT, and one for barometric pressure being low (I don't know the exact codes off hand). He decided to clear the codes and after that the car would not start. It turns on, it cranks, but it does not start.

Upon further investigation we checked and saw that the engine control fuse was blown. After replacing it with a new one and trying to start the car again the fuse blew again. My cousin also has another OBD-II scanner and both that and his new one were not recognizing the ECU.

Any ideas on what is going on? Any kind of help is greatly appreciated! TIA!

Ok so one thing we did was disconnect the ECM put a new fuse in and turned the car ON. This fuse did not blow. We plugged the ECM back in and turned the car on and the fuse blew this time. Does this mean my ECM is fried?

What's a CBE? Clearing the code shouldn't have any effect on your car. I clear mine all the time without any issues. You probably have a power wire touching ground somewhere that's causing the fuse to blow.

+1. good luck with it, that happened to my last car and it was pretty time consuming and tedious tracking it down with a voltmeter.
