I was thinking...

Can a wrong oil filter cause a pressure drop in the system?

Changed to MD356000 today, same oil (new). The tapping noise still persists.

I read here that it can be the lifters.

btw, stock cams. Can it cause some type of damage?

Resurrecting the dead...

I'm having the same problem as this guy is describing.. I just changed my oil and now i have this valve tick,(im used to all the noises my engine makes and this is def new) so i took it to the dealer. Bad mistake, (mitsu voided my whole warrenty not just power train but bumber to bumber and whatever else i had)

Neways the service guy said that its my valves and they have to be adjusted. There charging me around 200ish for parts and labor. Would it be to risky to try and adjust the valves myself ( i have a buddy who's a very good mechanic) or should i have broke a$$ mitsu do it?
