Installed K&N drop in w/o drying it.

I just got a K&N drop in for my IX and didnt think of drying it b4 i installed it. Its been in now for about 50 miles and remembered hearing about ppl having problems with their MAF's because of over oiled K&N's from the factory. I havent noticed the car running bad at all and there is no oil in my airbox nor does the filter seem OVER oily. Should i not worry about it or should i let dry out for awhile b4 i use it again?

Thanks, Doug

since there is no oil in yr airbox and the filter is not over oiled, i think it should be fine.

some people claim that the oil runins their MAF. but i remember reading that the oil actually doesnt do anything. but if there isnt any oil in your airbox or anything, you should be fine

you should be fine. i have had mine for about 10,000 miles, no issues. took it out of the box and right in. I think the main issue is when people clean and reoil the filter. That is usually when it is over oiled. Take your time when you clean and reoil it. it takes a while for the filter to dry after cleaning before you should oil it.
