Is the Borla Equal length manifold worth it?

I was in the market for an egaul length manifold and wondering if you guys have any reviews on some good ones? I do not want to spend some crazy money on one but it seems like the borla is near my budget.

Many topics on this. Buschur proved that it doesn't give very good gains. The ported stock manifold with coating does the job better :P

Plus its cheap

i dont have the Borla's but i do have the Toda Exhaust mani. and i love how it pull top end...i mean without them..the car used to struggle to reach 258km/h..now it easily (emphisize) EASILY pull till 280 km/h i love it!!

make sure you Heat Wrap it and FABRICATE a support bar for the turbo...the idea behind the bar is that it carries the weight of the turbo..as the metal gets hot it becomes weaker and thus cannot carry the weight of the turbo..thats where the support bar plays its magic..

I know you said you didn't want to spend a huge amount on an exhaust manifold, but i think you should save your pennies and get the full-race exhaust manifold. It's been proven to make power over all other ex. manifolds and the quality is top notch!

That manifold is crazy expensive thought admittedly it works. I'd tell him to save the money with a ported/coated stock manifold and get gains somewhere else like say a tune, TBE, cams, choose your poison

If you look in his signature, he already has a ported exhaust manifold.

I think the megan racing or full-race is your best bet if you have to get a different manifold from your ported stocker. Right now I got the megan on my car it seems to give a bit more pull up top and it has a nice look to it too.

Thanks guys. My ported manifold did give me a little more kick but I am putting in a IX turbo with a TTP 02 housing and seeing if it will be worth it to get the manifold as well. It just doesn't seem worth it to me to spend over $1000 on a manifold. That is just even closer for me to spend the money on a turbo kit which I am trying not to do.

I upgraded to a borla header and a bushur fmic and gained 40 whp and 35 tq...I attribute about 1/2 to each...also the power lasted up higher in the top end with no other mods.

i like how everyone throws in the fact that its COATED... the coating helps keep the temperature down if im correct, not like its some big HP thing. hope the coating is free with the port job.

the caoting does keep underhood temps down due to keeping the heat from radiating outward somewhat, but it's mostly there to kepp the heat in the runners which keeps exhaust velocity up, helping to spool the turbo and keep the flow rate high.
