Anyone running Forge lower front motor mount ONLY??
I searched the other threads and they weren't specific enough for my situation.
I am interested in running the powerflex/forge lower front motor mount ONLY the 53 dollar one.
The other threads discussing this, there were other variables like fatigued side mounts, so I want to know how a brand new IX feels with stock tranny and side mounts with only an upgraded lower front mount?
I want to get rid of the notchy shifts, but not if it's going to vibrate the crap out of the pedal and dash. So if anyone with a new evo is running only that mount please chime in because I want to know how the car feels without doing the other three.
Thanks in Advance,
Ken

The additional vibrations are pretty minor. Minimal at best, and you'll only feel them at idle, and a little more so with the A/C on. It's not so much a vibration, and not even remotely a rattle. It's more like a "hum"
The mount will "settle" in a little bit after some time and won't be quite as bad, but you'll still notice that it's there, mostly due to there being less motor movement.
All of our experience, however, having installed the two side mounts as well (cam gear side and tranny side [under battery]), is that the combination of the front paired with the two sides actually produces LESS additional vibration that by having the front installed by itself.
That might be the option you should take if you're overly concerned about vibration.

Unless I'm referring to the wrong mount, I thought MOST of us ran ONLY the front motor mount...the VAST majority of us. I have had it for a year now and absolutely love it. I noticed some increased vibration when at idle or when moving slowly in 1st gear (traffic), but it soon became lost in the white noise of everyday life. In other words, I don't even notice anymore.
