Best Clutch for 400 awtq

Looking to buy a clutch for my IX and I know I am going to go with the Fidanza flywheel, but I am not sure which clutch to go with. I am putting down about 400awtq and I want to keep the price of the clutch around $600.00. Is there a clutch for that money that will be good for my power??

If you wanna skip the flywheel and go with another name brand yes.

I know gruppe-s forges their own 10.5lb flywheels and sells them as a combo option with their clutch packages. Perhaps some other vendor does a similar deal.

i have the act extreme cerametallic 6 puck single plate...... great clutch so far..... and much quieter than the comparable exedy i had before..... i believe it's rated to handle 600+ft/lb.... and i got the clutch for $599 (and i didn't have to pay shipping!!!), but then i spent another $700 for the install...... boo on paying 1300 for the third clutch on a car with only 21k miles on it (5k on the act).... i know that sounds bad, but the exedy burnt up cause the dealership didn't know how to adjust the clutch (and still don't, i did it myself), and i had to have the dealership do it cause no one else in town here will touch an evo tranny and i don't have the means to do it.... so i'm trying to get my money back for the clutch and install cause my exedy burnt in 15k miles cause they didn't adjust my clutch, and i shouldn't have to pay for them to install it cause i have almost 5k miles on a clutch that wasn't completely disengaged when the clutch was it...... sorry for the little rant.... but the moral of the story is i love my act.....

Another Idaho guy Should have had Jake Montgomery do your clutch, you would have saved a little and it would have been done right. He will be installing my Tilton when I get it very soon.

It really depends on how you are going to drive your car. The ACT will hold the power as long as you do not slip it to much and it fits your price point. If you are going to be hard on it I would spend some more and get a twin plate that can handle it. With the cost of install a twin plate can pay for itself if it saves you one install. I am leaning pretty hard towards the Tilton as it should be able to take my autox launches and any other abuse I send its way. I am putting out a little less power then you, but not by much.

We are now recommending an interesting single disc option that is working well and has an affordable price. PM for details, it is well below your indicated price you mentioned.

Track proven, no lift powershift proven. Lightweight disc for no lockouts.

If you get a Exedy twinplate it comes with a flywheel and you should be just over your budget...
