Boost problem with GT3071R

Hi guys,

So i am back to the ATP GT3071R for the time being, until I can get all the supporting mods for the GT35R and a smaller A/R hotside.

But I have a problem. When i switched back to the 3071R and went for a test run all was fine. But after 2-3 runs the car made a huge bang from under the bonnet like something had exploded. I drove it very gently back. It turned out only the rubber joint in the Upper intercooler pipe had come off.. it was visible when we opened the hood. So we put that back on and the car drove fine. I came home running 1.4 bars of boost. Then the next day when i turned the boost up to the settings where normal I would get a boost of 1.75 bars, I got only 1.42 bars? Then i turned the solonoid duty cycle up a little and the max I could get was 1.58 bars of boost and that too is way above the duty cycle that I used to make 1.75 bars at?

My tuner says and I think he is right that my stock diverter valve is not holding up(I have a JDM evo 8 with Plastic valve). I have bought a Blitz blow off valve which is going in today. But do you guys think that this is the problem. Or shall i take the front bumper off and check all the intercooler pipes.

It can't be the turbo can it??

Thanks
