06 MR dyno numbers?

EcuTek custom flash (franz)
Fujitsubo Exhaust
Fujitsubo Frontpipe
BMC Air Filter

270whp seems a little lacking, does it not? New to Evos, I apologize for the newbishness of this question.

That is kind of low.
Are you running stock cat ?
You might wanna get a highflow cat. That should open up the exhaust flow.

My Mr dynoed 308hp/315 tq after a custom tune by AMS.
It based at 270hp before the tune.
All I have done is a tbe, mbc. Everything else is stock.

For reference, my MR baselined at 233whp/247ftlbs with a MBC (21.9psi), 3" cat back exhaust, Apexi cone filter with induction box. This was on a dynojet with humidity @ 66% and temp at 67F on 92 octane.

After my custom tune, it was 288whp/303ftlbs with MBC at 23psi. I thought this was 5eally low as many Evo IXs I read about on this forum baseline anywhere from 230-270whp on a dynojet with no mods. Could've been the humidity, could've been the dyno reading low, who knows.

The dyno is more of a tool but the track is where the power shows so I'm not really worried unless I'm trapping at stock or lower mph on the 1/4mile.

"Our dyno reads fairly low compared to a dynojet usually about a 15%
difference so that may be why the number seems a little low"

Dyno at KTR in MA

Not sure on the specifics of temp etc as car was purchased used and had been previously dynod.

also arent fuj exh, small piping? sounds like running a cat too.

use dyno's to judge your personal gains, from mods, and from tune. its impossible to compare cars from different dyno's. you can get in the ball park, but thats the best you can wish for.

That is absolutlety correct. The best way to know how much the tune did for you is a before and after and the same dyno the same day. Different dyno's on different days with different weather can vary significantly.

One suggestion I have is...don't be so concerned about the actual hp.
The main concern should be the actual gain from the tune, not the peak hp/tq.

You should be conerned about how much you actually gained after the tune.

BTW, what did your car base at?

Was the dyno calibrated for a 5 speed? Hell, would that change the result?
